A-Level — Full attestation
The signing provider knows your identity and confirms you're authorized to use the number. Full trust.
A-Level attestation tells carriers your calls are verified and authorized. As a SHAKEN-authorized carrier, QVD signs your calls directly so they carry the highest attestation available.
Attestation is a major input to how carriers treat and label your calls. A-Level signals full authorization; lower levels can leave your legitimate calls looking unverified.
Not all signed calls are treated the same by carriers.
The signing provider knows your identity and confirms you're authorized to use the number. Full trust.
The provider knows your identity but can't confirm authorization for the number. Reduced trust.
The provider can't verify the call's origin at all, such as international gateway traffic. Lowest trust.
Many providers route through aggregators that strip or downgrade attestation. QVD terminates your calls itself, so the A-Level signature stays intact all the way to the destination carrier.
It's the highest of the three STIR/SHAKEN attestation levels. It tells the receiving carrier that the signing provider knows your identity and has confirmed you're authorized to use the number you're calling from.
This usually happens when the provider signing your calls can't fully verify your identity or your right to use the number — often because you're routed through an aggregator or reseller instead of the carrier itself.
Yes. Attestation can be silently downgraded anywhere in the call path, including at aggregator hops between your provider and the destination carrier. Testing your calls periodically is the only way to know for sure.
No. Attestation and caller ID reputation are related but separate systems. A-Level attestation supports trust, but it needs to be paired with reputation monitoring and remediation to fully protect answer rates.
